Holy, holy, holy,
This is the day that You have made.
Why can I not rejoice and be glad in it?
I bemoan my lot
While surrounded by a plethora of possibilities.
My mind goes blank
In the face of all these choices.
They feel like burdens,
Weighing me down with “to-dos.”
How rude to whine in the face of abundance.
Multiplicity devolves into boredom.
Please, save me from myself.
Setting me free from these ”shoulds” and “to-dos.”
May I trust your gentle prodding
So that the next step is mindfully taken.
Dea Gratias.
