I say, “let go of what?”
Fear,
Control,
Insistence that things be
Different than they are,
Bottled up feelings,
Demand that my way
Is the only way.
I say, “Let God what?”

Let god be God.
Who lifts us up on eagles’ wings (Exodus 19:4b)
Supporting, loving,
Bringing peace, hope, and insight.
The continual presence of grace,
And perhaps, preparing a table
Before me that I might be nourished
By the Most High.
