Mother Goddess
Father God
I wake up grumpy
I’m tired,
And haunted by troubling dreams
Where I am always wrong,
And being controlled by others.
At least they try—
But my will is strong
And I won’t back down.
You know how I feel about
Surrendering—not on my watch.
Yet letting each moment
Be as it is—
That is a type of surrender.
I can go with your flow
Without giving away my soul.
