“Be still and know that I am [Love]/God” (Ps. 46:10).
How to be still when there’s so much to do?
Clean the house, keep up with the finances,
Water the garden, and the inside forest of plants. . .
Who has time to think about healthy meals?
And cooking them is beyond the realm of possibility.
”Be still,” echoes.
In stillness
The panic falls away.
In stillness is peace.
It is time with the Belovèd
Who longs for time with me.
It is time with myself
Since that is where the Belovèd abides.
But the many things—
Be still. One thing is needful.
There will be time enough
For the many things.
