About Catherine
“The human soul doesn’t want to be advised or fixed or saved. It simply wants to be witnessed—to be seen, heard, and companioned exactly as it is.” - Parker J. Palmer
So I come to you as a soul companion on the journey back home to ourselves. I am here as a sacred guide to support you on your life path during these tumultuous times. Together we will travel as we feel led, on a path that opens before us as we step into it.
I was ordained as an Interspiritual Minister, and trained as a spiritual counselor at One Spirit Learning Alliance. (But, please, don’t call me Rev. Catherine. Catherine is just fine). These have been the essential stepping stones that have prepared me to journey with you at this potent time.
You are welcomed here no matter your spiritual tradition, and even if you have no tradition. Together, we will be seekers after the deep source of our spirituality, so that our lives will reflect the light and love to be found there. This is our journey home.
A personal note
I live in Rochester, NY, and was raised in Cincinnati, OH. I have experienced conservative and liberal Christianity. My current Interspiritual faith includes wisdom from many traditions including Judaism, Sufism, Taoism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and the rock group, Rush. I am married, with an adult daughter, and a sweet little pomapoo pup, Gala, who is pictured here to the left!
What is Interspirituality?
The late Wayne Teasdale, author of The Mystic Heart, coined the term “Interspirituality” to describe this new spiritual perspective…
All authentic spiritual paths, at their mystical core, are committed to the common values of peace, compassionate service, and love for all creation.
An inner life awakened to responsibility and love naturally expresses itself through engaged spirituality, in “acts of compassion…, contributing to the transformation of the world and the building of a nonviolent, peace-loving culture that includes everyone. “(The Mystic Heart) (As found on the One Spirit Learning Alliance website).
